WATTS- is a unit of power. Defined by “a derived unit of 1 joule per second and is used to quantify the rate of energy transfer.”

In short, watts measure the energy used. Also, is the amount of power a light will draw from an electrical current in one hour. For example, a 100-watt light consumes electricity at a rate of 100 watts or 100 watt-hours.
